Karnataka Seva Sindu Driver Scheme Rs 3000 – Karnataka Government has introduced a scheme in which the State Government will offer financial aid of Rs. 3000/- each to the taxi and auto drivers. This scheme has been started keeping in mind the prevailing lockdown due to the increasing cases of COVID in the state.

As the State Government has tightened up the system to manage lockdown well, these daily earners are not able to earn and are in a miserable condition. Hence, the State Government has found a solution of offering financial aid of Rs. 3000 to these drivers so that they can follow the lockdown restrictions and at the same time can feed their families also.

The Chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yediyurappa has started this scheme of offering financial help to drivers across the state. This scheme will be beneficial for the drivers of taxis, cabs, and autos. These drivers have to get their registration done on the official portal first after which the officials will verify the details and then the financial aid will be provided to the applicant finally.

This scheme is also a part of the Karnataka Relief Fund that is being set up to help the citizens of Karnataka during the disaster of COVID. Some of the categories of people whom the Karnataka Government have been helping financially in this difficult time are drivers, farmers, washermen, handloom workers, weavers, barbers, small or medium manufacturers, and enterprises

Eligibility Criteria

While there is a range of candidates who will get benefits out of this scheme, the drivers have to fulfill some of the eligibility criteria to do so.

  • The candidate should be a citizen of Karnataka
  • The applicant should have a valid er driving license and proper documents of the vehicle
  • The person applying for the benefit should have a department badge

While the Karnataka Government has introduced several schemes for different categories, here are the benefits that the applicants of the Karanataka Driver Scheme will enjoy.

  • Drivers of all taxis, auto, and cabs in the state of Karnataka will be eligible for financial aid under this scheme.
  • All the drivers who have got registered and have been verified will get an amount of Rs. 3000.
  • The drivers just have to get registration done online through the official website and after verification; the amount will be deposited in the person’s bank account directly.
  • Karnataka Government has announced to spend an amount of Rs. 63 crores for the Karnataka Driver Scheme.
  • Under this scheme, as many as 2.10 lakh drivers will be benefitted.

How to Apply for Karnataka Driver Scheme? 

In order to avail of the benefits of the scheme, the drivers have to get registered on the official portal of Seva Sindhu by following these steps.

Step – 1 – First, visit the website sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in that is the official portal for Karnataka Government.

Step – 2 – Here, you will see the option of the online application for “Cash Relief to Drivers during Covid-19“ on which you have to click.

Step – 3 – On the page that comes up, fill in all the details such as your name as per your aadhar card, and others.

Step – 4 – Provide a valid mobile number where you can receive OTP.

Step – 5 – Now provide the OTP that you must have received on your mobile number and click on Verify on the screen,

Step – 6 – Next, provide the details of the driving license and the vehicle registration certificate.

Step – 7 – Check all the details once again on the next page and click on the check box.

Step – 8 – Enter the captcha code and submit the details.

After you have submitted your registration properly, you will get an acknowledgment on the next page that you should download and get a printout of for future references.

How to Check Status of Karnataka Driver Scheme?

Applicants can avail of the benefits of the scheme only after their details have been verified and processed successfully. If you wish to see whether your application has been processed successfully or has been rejected, you can check the status of the scheme. Also, you can check the status to see at which level of the scheme your application has reached.

Step – 1 – Once again visit the official website by clicking on https://sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in/.

Step – 2 – On the homepage, you have to click on the option of Track Your Application to land upon the tracking page.

Step – 3 – Now, there are two ways to track your application here from which you have to select one to proceed.

Step – 4 – If you have selected the option of Application Reference Number, then you have to provide the application reference number first and then have to select again from the two options of Submission date and Delivery date.

Step – 5 – Depending upon which date option you have selected, you have to select the right date from the calendar.

Step – 6 – Next, enter the captcha code and submit to get the application status.

Step – 7 – Now, if you have selected to track your application status through OTP/Application Details, then first you have to select the scheme from the dropdown menu against Service.

Step – 8 – Provide the captcha and submit.

Step – 9 – On the next age, you have to submit your registered mobile number and get OTP.

Step – 10 – Finally, submit the OTP to get the status of your application.

Documents Required for Karnataka Driver Scheme

Applicants who wish to get their registration done on the official portal to avail of the benefits should have these documents ready before registration.

  • Government identity cards that are Aadhar card and electoral card
  • Driving license
  • Certificate of vehicle registration
  • Proof to state that you are a registered transport driver
  • Residence certificate stating that you are a resident of Karnataka
  • Passport size photograph

This scheme is designed to help the drivers whose livelihood has been disrupted by the lockdown scenario in Karnataka. To make sure that no one else takes advantage of this scheme, the officials will verify all the details of the applicants and then only will process the aid.
