The Ring of Fire

The Solar Eclipse about to happen on 10th June 2021 is also called the Ring of Fire. Thus, leaving out the bright edges, the entire inside will be visible dark. This will create an illusion of a Ring of Fire.

When a solar eclipse takes place, there are two types of shadows that fall on the Earth. The first one is the Umbra that is a small shadow of the Moon. When the shadow falls on a particular part of the Earth, people in this area are able to witness a complete solar eclipse. The second type is the Penumbra that is a larger shadow and the area where this shadow falls witnesses a partial solar eclipse. The total eclipse looks like a Ring of Fire and thus it is named so also.

While the Ring of Fire will be visible only in Greenland, other mentioned places can view a partial eclipse. Only the people staying in Greenland will be able to see the beauty of the Ring of Fire.
