West Bengal e Pass Apply Online at WB.gov.in – Citizens who are in need of such an ePass have to apply for it on the official portal of West Bengal and Kolkata Police. There are strict purposes mentioned under which only the individuals have to apply for the ePass. Latest Update – West Bengal will be observing further restrictions till 15th June 2021 as per the official announcement made by CM Mamta Banerjee. She also says that there will be no lockdown in the state but the covid restrictions will remain the same till June 15. How to Apply for West Bengal e Pass?
The government has launched the portal to apply and download e pass for Inter-district and Intra-district travel so users are requested to go through the complete process to apply for the West Bengal e-pass for any of the following.
Inter and Intra-District e-Pass (Except Kolkata Police Area)
Step-1 First, visit the official website of the Government of West Bengal at https://wb.gov.in
Step-2 Now, you will find two options: Inter-District Travel and Intra District Travel so click on your preferred option to proceed ahead for registration
Step-3 Here, you will see the complete online application form for your preferred option so fill in all details correctly including your personal information, vehicle information, date of journey, type of journey and reason, and journey.
Step-4 After entering all information in the form, tick mark boxes below the disclaimer and finally click on submit to send your e pass application to the government.
Kolkata Police Area e-Pass
Here is the online method through which you can apply for West Bengal ePass. It is noted that the WB e Pass can be obtained from the official portal only.
Step – 1 – Go to the official site https://coronapass.kolkatapolice.org/.
Step – 2 – Here, go through the instructions displayed and click on the tab I Agree to proceed.
Step – 3 – On the next page, you have to select from the options of Individual and Organization.
Step – 4 – Based on what you have selected, you will come up with the application form that you have to fill up.
Step – 5 – Upload your photo that should not be more than 100KB and documents stating your purpose that should not more than 2MB.
Step – 6 – Enter the captcha provided and tick on the box stating that you will not travel to any of the containment zones during your visit.

How to Check West Bengal ePass Status?
If you have applied for the West Bengal ePass and are waiting for approval, you can check its status in the meanwhile. After the application is approved by the authorities, you should get the ePass either in your email or your SMS, or both. You just have to download the ePass from the respective places and have to keep it on your device. On the respective day of travel, you should also get a printout of the ePass and carry it along with you supported by a Government approved identity card of yours. Step-3 Now, you are at the sign-in page so enter your User User ID and Password here to login to the e-pass portal
Step-4 After successful login, you will get to know the current status of your West Bengal e-Pass that can be any from Approved, Reject, or Pending review.
For Kolkata Police Area
Step – 1 – Visit the official website at https://coronapass.kolkatapolice.org/.
Step – 2 – On the homepage itself, you will find the option of Check Status on the top right corner, on which you have to click.
Step – 3 – In the box that opens up, you have to provide the application ID that you must have received after submitting your application.
Step – 4 – Now type the captcha code displayed on the screen and click on OK.
Soon, the status of the application will get displayed on the screen notifying whether it is approved, declined, or still in the process.

West Bengal Lockdown 2021
The Chief Minister of West Bengal has mentioned that due to the scarcity of medicines and oxygen, the condition in the state is continuously deteriorating. Understanding this scary condition, it has become absolutely necessary to impose a lockdown of 2 weeks to break the chain of coronavirus.
Regarding this lockdown, the minister has introduced several guidelines that the citizens have to abide by to make this lockdown successful and defeat the infection.
- All the Government and private offices along with educational institutions will be closed during the lockdown.
- Any of the public transports will not be working except the vehicles that are used for carrying essential items or are used for emergency medical services.
- All the shops selling essential items will remain open from 7 am till 10 am.
- Sweet shops and meat shops will remain open from 10 am till 5 pm.
- The tea industry will be operating but just with 50 percent of employees.
- Home delivery of items and eCommerce shall remain operational
- Automobile repair shops will remain open.
- Parks and religious places will remain closed.
- Banks will be operational between 10 am and 2 pm.
- Marriage events can take place with just 50 participants.
