PFMS: Portal, Login, Know Your Payment, Scholarship, Status, Bank List – PFMS or The Public Financial Management System is a web application that started in the year 2009 for tracking those funds that have been released by the Government of India in the interest of the public of India. It is the collaboration of the Government of India, Finance Ministry, Expenditure Department, and the Controller General of Accounts that brought the idea of PFMS.

The major task of the PFMS platform is to offer transparency to the fund flow along with the payments that are happening according to the Public Financial System Management. The interface of the platform has the working of all the states and union territories of India. This helps in exchanging data that is about payments, budget, and other fund-related matters.

Moreover, PFMS has become the backbone of the Indian payment system. It is well integrated with the country’s core banking so that the payments can get transferred only after proper verification of the accounts.  Apart from this, the platform has also turned to become a payment channel for various departments under the Government of India. PFMS Registration

PFMS Registration and login are only allowed for the Government agencies such as PAOs, DDOs, PDs, AAOs, and DHs. If you are in any of these positions, then you can get registered to the platform by following these steps.

  1. Visit the official portal of PFMS at www.pfms.nic.in.
  2. Click on Login at the upper right corner that will take you to a screen from where you can also register yourself to the portal.
  3. Here, from the options available on the left side, you have to click on New User Registration.
  4. A PDF file will get downloaded on your system that is the registration form.
  5. Get a printout of this form and fill it up carefully.
  6. You have to attest your ID card along with the filled form from a designated officer at the office.
  7. Now attach the attested ID card along with any other document, if needed, to the form and finally submit them to the Controller General of Accounts Office, PFMS.

PFMS Registration Guidelines

Here are some of the important instructions and guidelines that one should take care of while filling up the form of registration for PFMS.

  • The form should be filled in capital letters only and all the mandatory fields should be filled up without fail.
  • Only the authorized Government officials and fill up this form for registration. Registration will be done only for the email domains gov.in and nic.in.
  • The applicant should provide the correct active mobile number and email address to get OTP and other essential details required for login.
  • After proper verification of all the details, an activation link from PFMS will be sent to the applicant through email through which the applicant has to verify his or her profile at the earliest.
  • It is only after the verification of the profile that the account will get active after 24 hours.
  • The applicants should obtain a NIC-VPN certificate as PFMS will get restricted through VPN.
  • The registered officer should make sure to disable his or her PFMS ID in case of retirement or transfer.

PFMS Other Registrations

Apart from the new user registration, other options such as agency, treasury users, and others can be also registered on the platform.

Register Agency:

While earlier, agencies were allowed the option of getting registered on their own, now this option has been disabled. The agencies can get registered to the platform only through the funding agencies of the scheme.

Register Others:

There are other options to register others and these are:

  • MIS Reports Users
  • State Government DDO
  • DBT Beneficiary Mgmt Checker
  • Treasury Users

Here are the steps that you need to follow to register the above-mentioned users.

  1. Click on the link www.pfms.nic.in to enter into the PFMS portal.
  2. Click on login to enter a page for login and registration.
  3. Select the user to register from the left side of the page.
  4. A form will appear on the next page depending upon the user to be registered.
  5. Fill up the form without any mistakes and submit it.

After verification of the details, the user id, password, and other details will be sent to the mentioned email id from PFMS using which the user can log into the required profile.

PFMS Login

As mentioned in the guidelines, after you have submitted the application form, you will soon get an activation link on your email from PFMS through which you have to verify your profile. After 24 hours, you will again get an email with your login details. After you have obtained the login details, here are the steps that you have to follow to log into your PFMS account.

  1. Visit the portal at https://pfms.nic.in/.
  2. Click on login on the homepage that will take you to the login page.
  3. Select the financial year and provide the login credentials.
  4. Click on login to enter your profile.

After you have logged into your profile, you can start accessing an array of options as per your requirement.

PFMS Know Your Payment

Follow these steps to know your payment status.

  1. Visit the portal.
  2. Click on Know your Payment, which you should get on the homepage itself.
  3. A page will appear where you have to provide the details that is your bank name and the bank account number.
  4. Next, confirm your bank account number.
  5. Type the captcha code.
  6. Click on Send OTP.
  7. Provide the OTP that you must have arrived on your mobile number and then submit.

You should soon get the status of your payment.

PFMS NSP Payments

Students can follow these steps to track the scholarship schemes that are available on NSP.

  1. Visit the portal and click on Track NSP Payments.
  2. On the page that appears, provide the details such as bank name, bank account number, and NSP application ID.
  3. Now enter the captcha code available and click on search.

You should soon get different scholarship schemes available in NSP in front of you on the screen.

PFMS Salary Slip

In order to view your salary slip, you have to log into your PFMS profile. Here are the steps that you need to follow to get your salary slip.

  1. Visit the official portal of PFMS and click on login.
  2. Log in to your profile by following the login method mentioned above in this article.
  3. After entering your profile, select Employee Information System.
  4. Click on Go to EIS.
  5. On this new page, click on Pay Related.
  6. From the dropdown menu, click on View Pay Slip.
  7. Next, select your year ad month and submit.
  8. The PFMS salary slip will get downloaded on your device that you have to click open to see.

You can also save this downloaded payslip if you wish to keep a record of your payslips.

PFMS Scholarship

Students can avail several scholarship schemes under PFMS if the particular candidate is eligible for it. Here are the eligibility criteria that the candidates need to fulfill in order to get qualified for the scholarship schemes under PFMS.

  • These schemes can be availed only by the citizens of India.
  • The applicant should be between the age group of 28 years and 25 years.
  • The student must have passed Class 10th.
  • The family income of the applicant should be lesser than Rs. 6 lacs annually.

The applicants need to submit these required documents to avail the scholarships:

  • Aadhar Card
  • Educational certificate
  • Passport size photo
  • Fee receipt of the current educational institute

PFMS Scholarship Registration

  2. Now select the scholarship scheme that suits you the most and check the details.
  3. Now you have to register yourself in PFMS as a student that you can do this by clicking on this direct link https://pfms.nic.in/ScholarshipManagement/StudentRegistration.aspx.
  4. Select the scholarship scheme and provide the necessary details.

PFMS will, later on, release a list of students on its official portal declaring the candidates who are eligible for this scholarship scheme and the amount that will get credited.

PFMS Bank List

There is a huge list of banks on PFMS integrated to offer the rightful payment services for different schemes. So, how to check whether a particular bank is there integrated into the system of PFMS or not? Follow these steps to do so.

  1. Visit the official portal of PFMS.
  2. From the left tab of the homepage, click on the option of Bank/Post Office.
  3. From the dropdown menu, click on Bank Branch.
  4. Provide all the details of your bank branch and click on Search.

Soon, the system will display whether the bank is there in the PFMS bank listing or not.
